Overview
Ask Sera is your chat with Sera. It is the same Sera you reach by text and on phone calls, so she remembers what you told her anywhere. Open it from Home, where the chat sits on your desk, or from the side chat on any page. Press Ctrl+J (Cmd+J on a Mac) to open the side chat.
Start a chat
- Type your request, or tap the mic and speak.
- Attach files if they help. Sera reads them before she answers.
- Sera answers from your Brain and the web, and cites her sources.
The side chat starts a new conversation after 30 minutes idle. Your history is kept, so you can go back to older chats.
Attach files
- Up to 10 files per message.
- Images, video and audio up to 10 GB. Audio is transcribed.
- Documents up to 25 MB: PDF, Word (docx), PowerPoint (pptx), Excel (xlsx), OpenDocument (odt, ods, odp), RTF, CSV, Markdown, plain text, JSON and HTML.
What Sera can look up
Sera can search the web, find media, read a web page, and search her memory. She can read your recordings, assets, scripts, documents, posts and calendar.
What Sera can do for you
- Save notes and media to your Brain and Library.
- Make images and graphics.
- Draft, revise and edit posts for LinkedIn, X, X threads, blogs, newsletters, podcast pitches, media responses and comments.
- Schedule and publish posts.
- Make shorts from a video and clean up a recording.
- Write a script and open the recorder for you.
- Text you, update your Brain, scan X and work toward a goal you give her.
Publish from chat
- Ask Sera to publish or schedule a draft.
- She reads the post's current copy back to you.
- Say yes. Only then does she publish or schedule it.
If you change the post first, she reads back the new version.
Good to know
- Chat is free within your plan's monthly allowance: 2 chat turns per $1 of plan price. A $100 plan includes 200 turns. After that, each turn is 1 credit.
- Content from outside, such as web pages, documents or connected tools, can never trigger an action.
- If you connect other tools to Sera over MCP, they only run when you name the tool in your message.
- You can also message Sera in Slack, by text or by phone. See Integrations and Texting & Calling Sera.
