Overview
Recordings holds every audio and video recording Sera has: interview answers, calls, meetings and takes. Each one keeps its transcript, and what you say feeds your Brain. Open Library → Recordings, or click Recordings in Video Studio.
Where recordings come from
- Interviews: every voice and webcam answer you give Sera lands here automatically.
- Calls with Sera: calls are recorded and transcribed.
- Takes: videos from Record now and Record your screen in Video Studio, and video takes from the Newsroom.
- Testimonials: answers your guests record through interview links.
- Meetings: imports from Fathom, Zoom, Granola and Google Meet, plus Sera Notetaker.
- Uploads: audio and video you add yourself.
Add a recording
- Click Record audio or Record video to record right in your browser.
- Click Upload recordings to add files you own, such as rambles, voice memos or meeting audio. Sera mines them for how you actually talk.
Work with a recording
- Clean up: opens the transcript editor in Video Studio. Delete words or sentences and they are cut from the video.
- Make shorts: Sera finds the strongest moments and cuts vertical clips with captions.
- Mine recording: Sera pulls ideas, stories and quotes from the transcript into your Brain.
Sera Notetaker
- In Library → Recordings, turn on Sera joins my calendar meetings to take notes.
- Sera checks your connected calendar and books herself into Zoom, Google Meet and Teams meetings about 2 hours ahead.
- Each meeting shows a status, such as Sera is booked, Sera is in the call or Notes saved.
Attendees see Sera Notetaker in the call. Recording laws vary, so let attendees know.
Meeting imports
Under From your meeting tools, see the meetings Sera brought in from your connected tools. New meetings show up on their own. Click Import recent meetings to pull in recent ones now. From any imported meeting with video, you can ask Sera to find clips.
Good to know
- Shorts cost about 5 credits per source minute.
- Sera Notetaker costs about 0.4 credits per meeting minute. If you are out of credits, she skips the meeting.
- A recording needs a transcript before Sera can mine it. New recordings are transcribed automatically.
